377: THE ‘TRIP OF DREAMS’ WILL SET SAIL ON AUGUST 6th – AND YOU CAN WIN CASH

I’m standing on Tom’s 43-page agenda for our Trip of Dreams. During this unthinkable adventure, we will visit 11 states and five Canadian provinces – and hopefully we won’t have any issues with ICE like the 2,224 passengers and crew of RMS Titanic had on April 14, 1912.

For the past three and a half months, since I returned from Indianapolis on April 19, 2026, I’ve been standing and watching my photographer create the concept for our primary road trip of the year- an adventure Tom has dubbed ‘The Trip of Dreams’. That’s right – not only will this unthinkable 22-day voyage take us to a countless number of Presidential sites, which will include at least 26 different Presidents, but the trip also has a Titanic theme built in as well.

For the first time in my illustrious 13-year career of traveling the countryside with Tom, Vicki, and my photographer’s good friend Bob Moldenhauer, I’ve never had the opportunity to visit the gravesites or pay my personal respects to anyone who perished in the sinking of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912. But that’s about to change in August.

Roughly 1,514 of the 2,224 passengers and crew perished when Titanic sank to the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean some 800 miles East of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Of those fifteen hundred lost innocent men, women and children, only 337 bodies were recovered – one third of which were returned to the ocean due to lack of space, lack of ice, or severe decomposition.

During the three-week span of our upcoming trip, which will kick off on August 6th, my photographer will be taking me to the final resting places of 163 victims of the Titanic disaster – 150 of whom were buried in three separate cemeteries in Halifax. And while in Nova Scotia’s capital city, Tom, Vicki, and I will visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where numerous artifacts from the White Star Line’s infamous ship are displayed.

Would you, our dedicated viewing audience, be interested in meeting me and my photographer in person? Not only will you get to meet and hold the most famous bobble head in the world (me), but you also have the chance to win some cash at the same time. And it’s easy; all you have to do is show up at one of the five sites listed below at the designated time, walk up to my photographer and say out loud: “Hey, it’s the bobble head guy!” If you’re the first one to say those words at any of the designated sites, my photographer will hand you $25 in cash. There could be, at the most, five separate winners of the cash.

Here are the five sites where you can meet me in person and win some cash – #1. Friday August 7, 2026 at 8:30am; find us at Millard Fillmore’s grave in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York. #2. Monday August 10, 2026 at 8:30am; find us at Calvin Coolidge’s grave in Plymouth Notch Cemetery in Plymouth Notch, Vermont. #3. Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 11:00am; find us at the Union Oyster House in Boston, Massachusetts. #4. Sunday August 23, 2026 at 7:00am; find us at the Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market in New Milford, Connecticut. #5. Tuesday August 25, 2026 at 8:15am; find us at James Buchanan’s grave in Woodward Hill Cemetery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

My photographer and I are anxious to hit the road again for another extended trip, but unfortunately the two of us will be traveling with heavy hearts throughout the entire trip. For the past five or six years during most of our historic adventures, Tom has recorded videos of each site and sent them to his good friend Earl McCartney; who was in a long battle with cancer and couldn’t travel much due to his condition. Earl loved my photographer’s videos and once said after watching one that my camera guy had recorded and sent from the Salt Lake City area last year, “So f***ing cool, Tom, something positive in my life.”

Sadly, on June 13, 2026, Earl McCartney lost his battle with cancer at the age of 63. I had the opportunity to pose with Earl in April 2023, which was the last time I saw him, and his loss will definitely be on my resin mind during our entire journey. And I know my photographer will struggle at each site as well, especially when he attempts to take a video and then suddenly stops – realizing his good friend in no longer there. Tom and I, along with the world, have lost a good one. Earl, like Abraham Lincoln, now belongs to the ages.

My photographer and I hope to see you on the road. Oh, one last tidbit – for anyone thinking about visiting our home with bad intentions during our absence, it’s highly advisable you refrain. Not only do we have security cameras discreetly positioned all around our property, Tom has also hired the services of a heavily armed, mean SOB who is military trained and loves to exercise his second amendment rights. Thank you for understanding!

Thomas Watson

My name is Thomas Watson and I've been a U.S. history fanatic since I was 9 years old. In 2013, I decided to take my passion to the next level when I purchased a Thomas Jefferson bobble head with the sole intention of photographing that bobble head at Presidential sites. From that first day on July 10, 2013 at Spiegel Grove in Fremont, Ohio, this journey has taken on a life of its own. Now, nearly 40,000 miles later, I thought it was time to share the experiences, stories, and photos of Jefferson's travels. Keep in mind, this entire venture has been done with the deepest respect for the men who held the office as our President; no matter what their political affiliations, personal ambitions, or public scandals may have been. This blog is intended to be a true tribute to the Presidents of the United States and this story will be told Through the Eyes of Jefferson. I hope you enjoy the ride!
