322: OUR LATEST ‘HAIL TO THE CHIEF’ SHOW FEATURED A VERY TRICKY DICK – NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

When my photographer and I went back to the GBS Studio in Port Huron to record our latest episode of Hail to the Chief, I didn’t realize I would be in the presence of some very controversial bobble heads. Each of the bobble heads represented Presidents who have either been impeached or had to resign become of impending impeachment; the latter of which was the focus of our show – Richard Milhous Nixon

Not only did I stand alongside the Richard Nixon bobble head for the entire show, but the other spring-loaded resin-headed figurines featured on the episode weren’t much better. Standing on Tom’s desk for the duration of the episode were bobble heads representing impeached Presidents Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump. In fact, there were two different Trump figurines because he had been impeached twice.

But our show isn’t meant to condemn any of the 45 different men who held the office of President of the United States. My photographer and I truly believe each person who was elected President, along with Gerald Ford, did so with the intentions to do what was best for America – at least in their minds.

With that said, Tom and I hope you’ll click on the links below to watch our latest episode of Hail to the Chief, which is dedicated to the life and Presidency of Richard M. Nixon. Thomas Watson

My name is Thomas Watson and I've been a U.S. history fanatic since I was 9 years old. In 2013, I decided to take my passion to the next level when I purchased a Thomas Jefferson bobble head with the sole intention of photographing that bobble head at Presidential sites. From that first day on July 10, 2013 at Spiegel Grove in Fremont, Ohio, this journey has taken on a life of its own. Now, nearly 40,000 miles later, I thought it was time to share the experiences, stories, and photos of Jefferson's travels. Keep in mind, this entire venture has been done with the deepest respect for the men who held the office as our President; no matter what their political affiliations, personal ambitions, or public scandals may have been. This blog is intended to be a true tribute to the Presidents of the United States and this story will be told Through the Eyes of Jefferson. I hope you enjoy the ride!
